New (and not so new) Geocaching Photos

I know you may will laugh at this, but I just figured out how to move photos from my cellphone onto the computer.

Stop laughing. I seriously tried this before and could NOT get it to work. Imagine that. A GPS nerd who geocaches and even sends twitter updates via field notes every time he finds a cache, can’t get pics from his cell to the computer.

You see, Verizon locks down all their phones so even though they have USB and Blue tooth, you still can’t access the file system of the phone and copy any files. You have to do it their way and send your photos to your online photo album. And pay the data charge. And view the advertisements on their website that you pay for.  And I’m getting sidetracked.

I finally got my hands on some old geocaching photos so I’m sharing them here for you all to enjoy. I am fond of this first cache because it is the first one I ever found and it’s right across the street from where I live. Took me three tries to find it as it was fastened deep inside a bush with the clothespin. The first two tries were at NIGHT (me=idiot) but I finally got it the next day when I could see better. As always the hunt paid off with the excitement of finding the hidden treasure. So here it is, the first geocache I ever found, and a few other cool caches I’ve found recently.

I'm just a dorky guy who married an awesome girl and I get the privilege of waking up every day next to my best friend. As you can tell I like to geocache and love working with all kinds of technology and other fun stuff. I am a huge nerd, but hey, it pays the bills!
