Tim showed Zeke how to move the levers and push the pedals. Together, they rumbled into an open field behind the house. Zeke’s hands were small on the controls, but Tim helped guide him, and soon, they were scooping up piles of dirt and making small hills.
“Let’s build something,” Zeke said excitedly.
“Great idea!” Tim replied. “How about a Zeke-tastic Dirt Castle?”
They worked together, pushing dirt into a giant mound. Tim showed Zeke how to use the bulldozer’s blade to carve shapes into the pile, and soon, the mound looked like a mighty castle with walls and even a ramp.
“You’re a natural at this,” Tim said as they admired their work. “Maybe I should hire you as my official bulldozer co-pilot.”
Zeke laughed. “Only if you pay me in ice cream!”
“Deal,” Tim said, pulling a cooler out of the back of his truck. Inside were Zeke’s favorite popsicles.
As they sat on the tailgate, enjoying their treats, Zeke looked at Funcle Tim and said, “This is the best day ever. Thanks, Funcle!”
“Anytime, buddy,” Tim said, ruffling Zeke’s hair. “With you around, every day’s an adventure.”
