Laelynn and Daddy’s Sweet Adventure in Candy Kingdom

🩷

One day, Laelynn and her dad were walking in the park when they found a sparkly pink door hidden behind a tree.

“What’s this?” Laelynn asked, tilting her head.

Her dad grinned. “Only one way to find out!”

They opened the door and—WHOOSH!—a swirl of sugar and sparkles pulled them inside. When they opened their eyes, they were standing in Candy Kingdom!

Everything around them was made of candy! The roads were made of chewy caramel, the trees had cotton candy leaves, and the sky was filled with floating lollipops! And right in front of them stood Lollipop Lane—a magical street covered in giant, swirly lollipops as tall as buildings!

Laelynn grabbed a purple lollipop the size of a beach ball. “This is the BEST PLACE EVER!” she giggled, licking it happily.

Her dad picked up a blue lollipop and took a bite. “Mmm! Tastes like blueberry pancakes!”

Just then, a chocolate bunny wearing a crown hopped up to them. “Welcome to Candy Kingdom! You must try the Chocolate Heart Fountain in Sweetheart Square!”

Laelynn’s eyes got huge. “A fountain… of chocolate hearts??”

“Yes! It’s made of the softest, yummiest chocolate in the world!” the bunny said.

They ran (carefully, because the caramel roads were a little sticky) all the way to Sweetheart Square. And right in the middle was the most amazing thing ever—a huge pink fountain that bubbled with chocolate hearts! Some were small and crunchy, others were big and gooey, and they all smelled sooo good.

Laelynn and her dad grabbed handfuls of the chocolate hearts, stuffing them in their pockets (and their mouths). “These are so melty and delicious!” Laelynn said with a happy sigh.

“Best. Fountain. Ever.” her dad agreed, munching on a heart-shaped piece.

But just then, the sky rumbled, and a cotton candy cloud dragon swooped down! “RAWR! Who dares take my chocolate hearts?” it playfully roared.

Laelynn gasped. “Uh-oh! We didn’t know they were yours!”

The dragon laughed. “Just kidding! I love to share! But if you want to stay, you must complete the Great Lollipop Jump Challenge!”

The challenge was simple: They had to jump across a row of floating lollipops without falling into the Jellybean River!

Laelynn took her dad’s hand. “We can do this!”

BOING! She jumped onto a cherry lollipop.

BOING! Her dad landed on a lemon one.

BOING! They bounced together onto a giant purple grape lollipop and—WHEEEEEE!—slid all the way to the other side!

The dragon clapped its fluffy wings. “You did it! As a prize, you may take home as many chocolate hearts as you can carry!”

Laelynn and her dad filled their arms with chocolate hearts and lollipops before stepping back through the sparkly pink door.

With a POOF!, they were back in the park, holding candy in their hands.

Laelynn smiled. “That was the sweetest adventure ever.”

Her dad chuckled. “Ready for another one tomorrow?”

She nodded sleepily and curled up in his arms, dreaming of lollipops, chocolate hearts, and fluffy candy dragons.

THE END.
