Bedtime Story for Zeke, Age 6
Once upon a time, in a cozy room with soft blue walls and a glowing lamp by the bed, a little boy named Zeke snuggled in for the night. He pulled up his favorite blanket—the soft one with Grogu and shining stars on it—and looked around at his bedtime crew.
Beside him was Teddy, his small brown teddy bear with a secret: he had a little bit of Mickey Mouse magic inside him. That meant Teddy could do amazing things—like whisper songs only Zeke could hear and turn regular dreams into magical adventures.
But Teddy wasn’t alone in keeping Zeke safe. Every night, Zeke was protected by his three brave Guardians.
First, there was Baby Blur, a red octopus with soft spots all over and eight floppy arms. Baby Blur stayed near the foot of the bed, always ready to twist up any bad dreams with his wiggly tentacles and toss them out the window like a paper airplane.
Next came Doughnut the Snake, smooth and cozy, with warm brown and tan stripes. Doughnut curled along the edge of Zeke’s bed like a sleepy, stripy guardrail. “No nightmares past me,” he hissed softly, like wind in the trees.
And finally, there was Cappy the Capybara, the biggest and calmest of them all. Cappy sat quietly by Zeke’s pillow, always warm and always there. If Zeke ever woke up scared, Cappy would give him a nuzzle and say in his slow, gentle voice, “Don’t worry, little buddy. I’m here.”
One night, just as Zeke’s eyes were starting to close, something sparkled in the air. Teddy sat up and his eyes twinkled.
“Zeke,” he whispered, “the Dream Door is opening!”
Zeke blinked. “The Dream Door?”
Teddy pointed. A tiny glowing door had appeared at the foot of the bed—right between Baby Blur’s wiggling arms.
“It leads to the Dream World,” Teddy said. “But tonight, something’s not right. The dreams are hiding.”
“Hiding?” Zeke asked, sitting up under his Grogu blanket.
“Yes,” said Baby Blur. “A Grumble Cloud is floating around, turning happy dreams into grumpy ones!”
Doughnut flicked his tail. “We’ve got to stop it before it reaches yours, Zeke.”
Zeke nodded. “Let’s go!”
Teddy gave a wave of Mickey magic, and the Dream Door swung open wide. Together—Zeke, Teddy, Baby Blur, Doughnut, and Cappy—stepped through.
They entered a world of floating pillows, cupcake clouds, and glowing stars. But high above, a gloomy Grumble Cloud floated, growling and zapping the dreams, turning laughter into pouts.
Cappy stepped forward calmly. “Why are you grumpy, Grumble Cloud?”
The cloud moaned, “No one listens to me. Everyone just wants to laugh and play. I feel all alone.”
Zeke stepped closer, heart wide open. “Sometimes I feel like that too. Maybe… you just need a hug.”
The Grumble Cloud blinked. “A… hug?”
Zeke opened his arms. Teddy joined him. Baby Blur reached out with four soft tentacles. Doughnut curled up in a warm, safe circle. And Cappy gave a slow, cozy lean.
The Grumble Cloud began to glow… from gray to light gray… then soft pink… and then—poof!—it turned into a smiling Snuggle Puff!
“Thank you,” it whispered, floating gently above them. “Now I can help protect dreams too.”
With the grumpiness gone, dreams flooded back—of rocket ships, underwater castles, and Grogu dancing with cupcakes.
Back in his bed, Zeke gave a big yawn.
“You were brave,” said Cappy.
“You were kind,” said Doughnut.
“And you gave the best hug ever,” said Baby Blur.
Teddy snuggled close and whispered, “Sleep tight, Zeke. The magic’s always with you.”
And as the lamp glowed softly beside him, Zeke closed his eyes under his Grogu blanket, safe and sound, surrounded by his Guardians and his magical best friend.
The End. 🌙✨
