Saying Goodbye…but just til Christmas
5:15am is NOT my normal waking time. Personally, I don’t even think that 5:15am should even be considered morning yet. Still dark outside = nighttime in my book but that’s a rant for another day. So what had me up that early? Tim. He is usually the answer to all unpleasant questions (just kidding dude 😉 ). This morning he left for PCC to begin another year of school and, being the wonderful sister I am, I got up in the middle of the night to drive up and see him off. Ok, truth be told, it was really because I’m going to miss him terribly. Sure he used to make me crazy when we were kids and there were times that doors were slammed and voices could be heard cross country, but we have actually grown to like each other now. These days the only raised voice is out of laughter…the kind that sends milk out of your nose and tears from your eyes. Pranks have taken the place of slammed doors over the last couple years and while we will never completely “get” each other at times, I think that sometimes we understand each other better than even our parents. I’m going to miss him…but only for a few months. Between now and Christmas there will be a lot of texting, care-package mailing, and phone calls but that’s ok, only 3 months to go!
