Don’t you wish your wife could cook like mine…

This will be the first of MANY posts where I brag about the food Holly cooks for us…

Tonight around dinnertime we were watching a food network special on hamburger joints around the country. (Here’s a hint: if you’re trying to lose weight, DON’T watch the food network!) So naturally, being the american male that I am, I started to get reaaally hungry for a cheeseburger. And Holly being the near-perfect wife that she is, decided to make us some hamburstfers (that’s a pink panther joke, if you don’t get it, go rent the movie).

Well, I’m a very basic guy when it comes to food. If it tastes good, I’m gonna eat it. Even if it doesn’t taste THAT good, I’m probably still gonna eat it. (Just ask Holly about the All American Buffet in Orlando.) So I don’t really like it when people take good food and make it all fancy and taste weird. Take cheeseburgers for instance. Why does every cook think they need to improve on the classic cheeseburger concept? Just give me a burger, cheese, mustard, ketchup and a bun and I’m happy. Or so I thought. That was before tonight. That was before Holly created…

THE PERFECT BBQ CHEESEBURGER

I’m not kidding you, check this baby out (from the ground up):

  1. Bottom of the toasted bun
  2. Bull’s Eye Original Barbecue Sauce
  3. Ground Sirloin Beef Patty (medium)
  4. Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  5. 1 1/2 pieces of turkey bacon
  6. One Onion Ring
  7. Holly’s homemade Cole Slaw
  8. One last dab of BBQ
  9. Top of the bun

Holy cow I can’t tell you how AMAZING it was! I’ve had BBQ burgers in the past, but this one trumps them all. It must be the bacon, onion ring and the slaw but DUDE it was GREAT!!
