Fitness Update

If you had been looking for me today around 11am, you would’ve found me in the gym. Yes, in the gym! Even after a very long and busy weekend.  Worth it? TOTALLY.

Today, for me, is a big step towards making working out a faithful part of my lifestyle. I struggle with missing workouts because I’m tired or busy or (in all honesty) lazy and that has always been what stops me from achieving my goals. Once you start missing once a week it’s easy to skip twice a week, and then a whole week, and then I end up completely stopping until the next dressing-room meltdown or physical challenge that I cannot meet.

So, in celebration of a personal discipline milestone, I thought I would chart my progress thus far.

Three Weeks Ago

  • suffering to make it through 20mins on the Elliptical
  • level 1 – speed hovering around 2.9
  • around 1 mile
  • a little over 100 calories burned

Today

  • completed the full 30min program on the elliptical
  • level 2 – speed between 3.5 and 4.6
  • 1.97 miles
  • over 250 calories burned

Those numbers might be tiny to most but for me they are really something to be proud of…for now 😉

PS – the other day I tried on a pair of jeans that were a full size smaller and they FIT
