One week down…

The good news is that I am a full week into the new eating healthy plan and I have already lost 6lbs! I’m sure that will slow down greatly and most of that number came from the detox that happens when you give up heavy fillers and eat a lot of veggies, but still, I’m calling it a win.

There has been some cheating here and there…and over there…maybe…but I’m giving it my best.

The hardest part has been making the good choices when I’m super tired and craving the quick energy and stress relief that comes with that delicious chocolate or that handful of salty chips. I say “super tired” because regular tired is pretty much a part of who I am now. Mommyhood is not for wusses.

My DoTerra order came in a few days ago and I have been excited to experiment with the Trim Shake. So far, my favorite way to enjoy it is blended with a frozen banana, a little ice, unsweetened almond milk, a packet of instant coffee and some stevia. It ends up as something between a smoothie and a blended frappuccino but without the guilt. The taste is pretty good and the texture is surprisingly perfect and smooth. My one critique would be that I wish I felt fullerĀ for longer than I do. It’s very satisfying for the first hour or two but then I do feel pretty hungry.

Anywhos, the natives are getting restless so I better get off of here and back to it.
