Month 2 – February Follow-up

February weight loss: 4lbs

Total to date: 12lbs

February was an up and down month. I was super ready to tackle it head on in the beginning and did a pretty good job, then I was sick with the never ending crud for two solid weeks and lost traction, then I finished strong. While I was sick, there were four days of nothing but laying on the couch and eating grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup.

Because of the sickness and grilled cheese indulgences, I did not make as much progress as I had hoped to but it was still a good month over all. I feel like I am really hitting a grove with the healthy eating and being more active. I’m loving the DoTerra Trim Shakes made with frozen bananas and a little bit of instant coffee for breakfast, I’ve gotten more creative and less bored with salads, and my body is craving the old habits of chips and chocolate a lot less. I am looking forward to March being my most successful month so far and I can’t wait to see the progress continue to snowball! As it is now, I can see and feel a difference in my body but it’s not really noticeable to other people yet. By the end of March, I’m hoping for the progress to be significant enough to be noticeable. I am not changing to be noticed by others, I just mean that it will be exciting for the changes to be impactful enough to be noticeable.

The only challenge I can see coming this month is our anniversary (11 years!) and we are planning to go out to the Melting Pot. We were supposed to go for Valentines day but we both hadn’t earned the right to indulge in fondu so we opted for our favorite salads and a shared dessert at Cheddar’s instead. This time I am super focused on making it a great month so that we earn the night out without feeling guilty or being set back. Fingers crossed that we don’t end up dealing with anymore sickness or issues that inhibit the plan!
