New hobby: beading jewelry!!!
Every year I think about entering something into the Strawberry Festival competition but am always too late or too lazy to actually go through with it. This year I finally decided to do it before it was too late to enter but was faced with a problem. I had always planned on entering one of the baking categories but I have recently stopped eating anything containing wheat so baking didn’t have the same allure as it used to. Who wants to work on baking something that you can’t even eat?
So I decided to enter the Jewelry competition in the bead stringing category. This was the result!
Please leave comments and let me know what you think of it, I would love to hear where I could improve or what works with what I’m doing so far.
***Just got a call from my mom who was at the festival entering pumpkin bread today. She got to check on her other entries in sewing while she was there and had received a blue ribbon for a doll’s dress and a GRAND CHAMPION for the matching little girl’s dress!!!!! So a BIG congrats to her on all her hard work!!!!!
***As for my beading set, she was able to see that I had won a red ribbon for 2nd place! Not bad for a first try, huh?

Very nice Holly. Maybe in addition to entering beading, next year you could enter something gluten/wheat-free. The need for that is growing quickly (and then you could eat it, too!) I’ve been experimenting with recipes, as has my sister & dad (since mom & sis are celiac).
