Missing my hubs!!

The funny thing about being happily married is that you never really get tired of being with your mate. Michael and I have been together for 4 years, that is 1,460 days or 35,040 hours! We wake up together, we eat together, we go out together, we live together, we sleep together, we laugh/cry/argue/play/work/(insert anything else you can think of here) allllll together.

Now granted, I don’t go to the office with him and bathroom breaks are separate, but you have to admit that even without those, we spend the majority of our time together. So with all that in mind, you would think that a weekend apart would be a welcomed break from the daily grind, and it is…to a point. It is nice to not have to worry about work or budgets or stress and just relax. And in all honestly, I do enjoy some time to myself so that I choose when I do whatever without thoughts of what he wants or needs and I’m sure he feels the same way. However, that fun does not last very long.

By about the 24 hour mark, I begin to think that “me time” is not all it’s cracked up to be. I miss his voice when there’s no one to talk to over lunch or the way that he always comes up with something fun to do even if we are spending the day at home. Don’t tell him this, but I even miss him beating me at Mario Kart (although I am starting to break even with him in that).

All in all, I am so glad he has been able to take some time and go camping with the guys. He has so much fun when he goes and always comes back excited about everything they did. And I  am enjoying hanging out with Chloe and Cupid and beading. This time, I even was able to have my mom and Lory over to hang out and that was a total blast! But I have to admit that I am the most excited about tonight, when he comes home.

I think I like that goofy guy <3
